Problem
The New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) is a public-private partnership that serves as New Orleansβ official economic development organization. In a city plagued by corruption scandals and a struggling economy post-Hurricane Katrina, this new organization needed to establish awareness and trust as the go-to organization and liaison between the City and the private sector.
User Research
We conducted research and facilitated co-creation sessions with government, investors and community leaders to define goals
Solution
Mapped the system, identified needs and roles and designed the experience
To build trust, we created a communication strategy that emphasized connection, simplification, transparency, and coming together to build something greater. We created a brand that renders NOLABA as a transparent hub of economic collaboration, championing the people in the community and showcasing New Orleans a an open, business-friendly environment
We created an online hub that showcased information to attract investors, empower small business-owners and educate the community about opportunities and incentives.
Results
Since launch, user acquisition has increased by 71% and engagement by 40%. Furthermore, not only were the founders and team members ecstatic about their relaunch, patients loved the new experience.
